  • Last Day of Summer School - August 18, 2016

    Students completed this year’s 5-week summer school session on Thursday, August 18th. Several activities were held in classes to celebrate the end of summer school, including dancing, coding, and reviewing key takeaways of what the course(s) taught. Students said goodbye to friends and teachers, saying “we’ll see you soon!” in reference to the start of the first official day of school, September 7th. Enjoy the next final two weeks of summer vacation and we look forward to seeing you again!

     

    Passport to the World

Enjoy the next and final two weeks of summer vacation and we look forward to seeing you again!Passport to the World students continue to explore countries all around the world with Lincoln Hall Librarian, Ms. McGreal. With hands-on activities, student presentations, and technology, students learn all about different countries through both research and sharing their personal backgrounds. The students’ “World Traveler Passport” includes notes, pictures, and fun facts about all the countries they learn about.

     

    Pre-Algebra

    7th and 8th grade Lincoln Hall students are enjoying their summer school class of Pre-Algebra. This class is preparing them for Algebra in the 2016-17 school year. Mr. Almer is introducing the students on how to solve and graph linear equations and the many functions of a graphing calculator.

     

    Junior Coding Academy

    Under the instruction of Mr. Chris Edman, students are learning how to program their own video games and applications in their summer school course; Junior Coding Academy. Students expressed excitement in the classroom, saying, “I did it!” as they worked on their iPads and MacBooks using codeSpark software.

     

    First Day of Summer School - July 18, 2016

    District 74’s Summer School officially began on Monday, July 18th. Students arrived at Todd Hall ready to start their day with both old and new friends. We are very pleased to welcome all students and teachers. Have fun learning!

    2016 Summer School Open House

    District 74 welcomed families to the 2016 Summer School open house. Summer School will be held this year at Todd Hall. Students were able to check their schedule, see their summer school classroom, and even meet some teachers. It was also fun to see some friends.
     
    2016 Summer School will officially begin Monday, July 18th and run through August 18th. This 4-week session will run Monday through Thursday, with no classes held on Fridays.
     
    The District is excited to see student's smiling faces again! Enjoy your time in summer school.
