Lincoln Hall Middle School, located in Lincolnwood, serves students in grades 6-8. Lincoln Hall’s mission is to foster a safe, respectful, nurturing community; encourage students to grow academically, creatively, physically, and emotionally; and develop vital skills for success in a global society. Lincoln Hall staff teaches a rich core of knowledge in multiple disciplines, as well as the habits of effective teens that enable students to make connections among these disciplines and apply their skills to life beyond school. Lincoln Hall offers a full spectrum of academic core courses, such as science, social studies, math, language arts, reading, and physical education. Students also have exposure to expressive arts, which include STEM, Food Science, Music, Art, and Global Perspectives. Finally, technology is integrated throughout the educational setting as students use ipads to support their learning.

In the 2014-15 school year, the Lincolnwood School District 74 Board of Education unanimously endorsed the development of STEM programming (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) for Kindergarten through 8th grade. Lincoln Hall students have access to and are utilizing a state of the art STEM lab. The curriculum is the nationally recognized Project Lead The Way. Students in grade 6 receive the Design and Modeling module. 7th and 8th graders receive the Robotics module. Over the next few years, the plan is to extensively renovate Lincoln Hall Middle School. Included in these renovations will be state of the art STEM labs for grades 6-8. The future is very exciting for STEM at Lincoln Hall and for the remainder of the students in the entire District.

Beyond the academic day, Lincoln Hall offers a wide range of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, providing opportunities for the students to expand their talents and experiences. Students may participate in clubs and organizations that range from competitive sports and academic contests to student government and culture club.

Lincoln Hall Middle School has prepared an environment that is engaging and responsive to each child at each stage of development, while celebrating diversity and mutual respect among their community of learners. The students and staff are proud to be “Lincoln Hall Jaguars!”
