Welcome to the Lincolnwood School Foundation Page!
"The mission of the Lincolnwood School Foundation is to ensure
educational excellence for all children in Lincolnwood School District
74 by taking a leadership role in the funding of educational
opportunities."
Â
We want to thank everyone who has supported the Lincolnwood School Foundation in the past.
The upcoming 2008-2009 school year is just around the corner and we are looking forward to a terrific year! This year, the Foundation will focus on drawing support from three areas:
- Corporate Donor Drive
- Alumni Drive
- Community Campaign
We are looking forward to a productive year, with the help of corporate sponsors, our faithful alumni and the support of our community residents.
Lincolnwood Reads, a literacy initiative which enriches the District 74 Strategic Plan for Reading will be the Foundation's theme for the 2008-09 school year. This program will support reading in and outside of the classroom, and will reach into the community as well, developing ties to the public library, local businesses, and providing opportunities for Lincolnwood residents to share in the joys of reading. Author Nights, Family Reading Nights, "1,000,000 Pages Read" promotion and "My Favorite Book" profile written by children, parents and all interested residents as well as village staff, are just a few of the segments that are being developed as a part of this program. So pick up a new book, or take that old favorite off the shelf, open a magazine or listen to a book on tape, and join us, as Lincolnwood Reads.
In the Spring of 2009, we are planning to host a dinner auction, which we hope will become a staple in our fundraising efforts. If you are interested in joining this committee, or donating an item or service, please contact us at foundation@sd74.org. We may also need volunteers to help with classroom projects.
Please stop by our booth at Lincolnwood Fest to say "hello" and learn more about the Lincolnwood School Foundation and how you can be involved or join us on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30pm in the SD74 board room. We look forward to your help!..........................
The mission of the Lincolnwood School Foundation is to obtain corporate and personal funding for educational needs outside the ability of funding by School District 74 budgets. Through partnership between students, families, educators and community, the Lincolnwood School Foundation can expand programs that are beyond the funding ability of District 74. Through your support, School District 74 can continue to inspire students to be successful lifelong learners.
Reminder: the Lincolnwood School Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization which means that your donation is tax deductable to the extent of the law. When tax planning, please consider a donation to the Lincolnwood School Foundation where your money directly impacts your childs education.
Please contact the Lincolnwood School Foundation at foundation@sd74.org with any questions or for more information on how you may wish to partner with the Lincolnwood School Foundation.
